Welding Jig for Tunnel Boring Machine
Conventional setups without modular tooling require a great deal of skilled labor and time. A basic frame such as this tunnel boring base might take upwards of a few hours to fabricate by hand. Using a precision modular welding table with a common pattern of bores and add-on tooling blocks will cut the setup time more than in half and significantly improve the overall quality of the finished product. |

Jig Fixture for Access Panel
Sheetmetal tends to be relatively flat before heat is added during the welding process. With enough clamps and positive stops positioned around the perimeter of the panel, all of the loose pieces can be secured before welding. Proper weld sequencing and allowing the part to cool while still in the fixture helps to maintain the overall quality of the weldment. |

Weld Fixture for Cable Tray
Most homemade tables or generic welding tables have a limited worksurface size. Modular tables allow for an unlimited expansion all directions (x, y & z). A cable tray manufacturer found that by bolting two small tables together and adding outriggers off one end, they could weld parts twice as long as they had anticipated when they originally spec’d out a fixturing system. |

Clamping Fixture for Laboratory Glove Box
Stainless steel parts require special care in that carbon from the tooling does not come in contact with the bare material for fear of future rusting issues. Our tables are made from a low carbon, high tensile strength steel which minimizes any carbon migration. As an added precaution, our tables and tooling blocks are frequently hardened to completely eliminate any potential carbon transfer problem. |

Weld Tooling for Fume Hood
Press brakes do an excellent job forming sheetmetal into partial boxes, but the fixture is where the final assembly process is needed to produce a dimensionally accurate part. Users of our modular fixturing system for welding have come to trust the fixturing for its high accuracy and repeatability. If a sheetmetal part doesn’t fit properly into the fixture, the press brake operator can then make adjustments. |
