Large robotic applications often involve a traveling gantry style robot arm with stationary tooling plates or tables in front. Modular weld tables are anchored to the floor on short legs in order to achieve repeatability year after year. The entire family of modular components used in manual welding cells can also be shared with the fixturing for robotic applications.
