Conventional setups without modular tooling require a great deal of skilled labor and time. A basic frame such as this tunnel boring base might take upwards of a few hours to fabricate by hand. Using a precision modular welding table with a common pattern of bores and add-on tooling blocks will cut the setup time more than in half and significantly improve the overall quality of the finished product.
