During the fixture design process, there are occasions where a specific feature in the weldment needs a custom locator. Our engineers specialize in creating modular fixtures using both standard components as well as designing hybrid tooling components when needed.
Hybrid Pin Locator Example:
The connection bushing in this agriculture tillage frame was located using a custom swing away locator and pull pin. The entire assembly was designed for quick release to get the part out of the fixture and easy loading for the next piece.
Hybrid Tube Locator Example:
A custom hybrid tooling plate is bolted to the table using our standard PC Bolts. Because the hole pattern in our system is accurate (±0.001” between centers), it’s easy to design custom blocks that plug directly into the table.
