Two
larger Demmeler adapter plates are attached to two positioners
and used in tandem to hold these aluminum radiators. With
the built-in high accuracy in every Demmeler component,
the angles on the right hand side and left hand side are
aligned perfectly. Access for the robot to weld is available
on both sides of the part.
These
sheetmetal control cabinets are setup on two 4' x 8' Demmeler
welding tables mounted to a rotary pallet changer. While
the robot is welding one cabinet, the operator can load
a new cabinet. With solid stops bolted to the tables,
the robot knows exactly where the seams are. Hand clamps
quickly secure everything.
Multiple
tables are bolted together with short legs and set in
front of this gantry style robot. Programming is done
off-line with reassurance that the fixturing tables provide
precise location of each workpiece. Here, the robot is
welding an engine frame.
